Finding a Halloween costume for toddler boys can be a fun yet overwhelming process. The problem? There are so many choices out there, and most of them are downright adorable. Assuming that you're only going to buy ONE costume for your little guy, and he isn't going to be doing a costume change every few minutes, then you must settle on a single costume. As a mother of a former toddler, I know how difficult this is, but you must be strong.


 First you have to decide if you want your little boy's costume to be cool, trendy or simply cute. If he isn't old enough to pick out his own Halloween costume, then you're going to have to make an executive decision. Fortunately, there are many stores offline and online for you to choose from. Though my son is old enough now to pick out his own Halloween costume, I remember when he was about 14 months old and trying to sift through all of the tiny choices out there and find the perfect one.  Should I go with something cute, funny or cool? Should I dress him as an animal, a pirate, a super hero?  I didn't want my son to look back at his pictures someday and ask why on Earth I picked out the costume I did for him. By the way, I ended up going for the cute look. In fact, almost too cute. I dressed my son as a Teddy Bear, complete with a little blue bow tie. I figured it was the last time I could get away with something like this, so I went for it.  The picture is below (this is not my son by the way!)  This costume is probably more suited for infants and young toddlers, but the sizes go up to 24 months. It's very cozy, so if you live in a colder climate or it happens to be chilly on Halloween, then this costume is perfect. If you live in a milder climate, you're child might get a little warm wearing this.
